Classroom Culture
We took a survey of the students in our class to see what their ethnic backgrounds are. There are many nationalities represented. Some of our students have families who have been in the country for generations. Some have families who have arrived recently. And some of us were born in other countries came here very recently.

Many of us speak two languages but most of us speak English as our primary language. In school we are learning French or Spanish. But for some of us are learning English as our second language.

   Our different classroom cultures are
American
Italian
African-African
Cuban
Native American
Irish
Caribbean
Indian
Jamaican
African

A quote from one of our class members:

"I feel that it's great to have such a wide range of culture so that we can learn about all different cultures that we happen to come upon!"
